Solid Waste and Chemical Management Technology Center of Ministry of Ecology and EnvironmentNotice on the Work Reminder for the Application for Delay in the Disclosure of Chemical Substance Identification InformationTo all relevant units:According to the 'Measures for Environmental Management Registration of New Chemical Substances' (Ministry of Ecology and Environment Order No. 12, hereinafter referred to as the 'Measures') and the 'Guidelines for Environmental Management Registration of New Chemical Substances', according to the 'Measures for Environmental Management of New Chemical Substances' (Ministry of Environmental Protection Order No. 7, hereinafter referred to as Order 7), chemicals that obtained the Environmental Management Registration Certificate for new chemical substances before December 31, 2020, and those listed in the 'Catalog of Existing Chemical Substances in China' (hereinafter referred to as the 'Catalog') before the Measures took effect, and have implemented protection of identification information including substance names, have a protection period for identification information that extends to December 31, 2025, at the latest. Applicants may apply for an extension for the public disclosure of the substance identification information, with the maximum extension not exceeding 5 years. The holder of the registration certificate must submit the application materials for public disclosure extension six months prior to the expiration of the information protection period.The timeline for receiving public disclosure extension application materials has now been extended to September 15, 2025.
